This summer’s San Diego Comic-Con has been filled with film news, including Marvel’s announcement that Corey Stoll will play the villainous Yellowjacket (AKA Darren Cross) in the upcoming film Ant-Man.

Based on the Marvel comic characters, Scott Lang (AKA Ant-Man) is played by Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas is Dr. Hank Pym. In addition, Marvel has confirmed at Comic-Con that Evangeline Lilly will play the doctor’s daughter, Hope Pym. Michael Pena and David Dastmalchian have also been cast in undisclosed roles.

The film revolves around Dr. Pym, inventor of the Ant-Man technology, who mentors Scott Lang so that he can take over Ant-Man. The technology allows its users to decrease size while increasing strength. Unfortunately, it gets into the wrong hands.

This superhero flick has been discussed since the late 80s. The current iteration has been in the works since 2006 with Edgar Wright set to direct. But Wright dropped out unexpectedly earlier this year. Peyton Reed is now set to direct with Walt Disney Studios distributing.

Ant-Man is slated to hit theaters July 17, 2015 and will film at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayette County, Georgia.
