Elle Apparel Offers Fresh Looks Within Reach

ElleApparel_4As a girl fresh out of college, finding something cute to wear at a reasonable price can be difficult. Baton Rouge boutique Elle Apparel hopes to help out.

“It’s conservative, Southern-flare Sex and the City,” says owner Laura Maestri about Elle Apparel’s vibe. “The store has lavender walls with silver-patterned walls to really create the feeling of walking in to a high-end place. It is very dainty.”

Since opening two years ago, Elle Apparel has seen considerable success. Maestri knows what’s in style and keeps her store stocked with new options. And having great taste hasn’t hurt.

The boutique has new arrivals delivered every day and when items are gone, they’re gone. Elle is able to get new, daily arrivals in part by supporting local designers. The boutique carries brands of up-and-coming designers, helping to establish their brands while offering truly unique options. One of Elle’s brands, La Bella Vita jewelry, can only be found at Elle. The jewelry line will also soon be featured in Vogue.

ElleApparel_1Elle also carries a variety of different clothing options from evening gowns to work clothes, tanks, shoes and shorts. Sorority sisters can find jewelry with their sorority’s name on it, young girls can find their cotillion dresses and LSU fans of all ages can find their tailgating apparel, just in time for football season. Located on Highland Road, Elle is perfectly positioned on the way from New Orleans to Louisiana State University, the epicenter of college football.

“I can get all of my work clothes there,” says Scene’s Lauren Fain, a devoted Elle shopper. “And then I have girls behind me coming in looking for tailgating attire, and an older woman come in looking for a cocktail dress. It has really cute stuff across the board.”

“Elle also hosts great trunk shows. They team up with the nearby shops,” says Fain. “La Bella Vita took part in one of the trunk shows recently. She was set up all day and created custom jewelry while visitors waited.”

“Locally owned by a fashionista, Elle Apparel has all the pieces to make you look like the star that you are,” is the store’s motto, according to Maestri. “Everything found at Elle is extremely affordable and you can constantly find great deals with daily surprises we post on Facebook throughout the day.”

Elle’s surprises include discounts, special offers and trunk shows that are coming up. You can find out for yourself at www.facebook.com/elleapparel or visit Elle Apparel in Baton Rouge at 16645 Highland Road.
