Brad Pitt, arguably the biggest movie star in the world, will soon be shooting another film in New Orleans. While the actor shares a residence in the city with Angelina Jolie, it will be his first film in Louisiana since 2008’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
The film is Cogan’s Trade, written and directed by Andrew Dominik, who previously worked with Pitt on the The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Pitt will play the titular character, Jackie Cogan, an enforcer investigating the robbery of a high stakes poker game protected by the mob. The film’s ensemble cast is also rumored to include Pitt’s Jesse James co-star Casey Affleck, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Bill Murray, Mark Ruffalo, Sam Rockwell and Avatar star Zoe Saldana, who recently wrapped Columbiana in New Orleans.
Cogan’s Trade has already made a commitment to Second Line Stages, with all shooting expected to be done in the New Orleans area. Shooting is expected to begin in March.

And we all know how great Jesse James did. Might want to rethink the director but the cast sounds good, enough talent to overlook Brad’s lack of acting skills.
best cast of all time?
had jesse james been given a real, full release, it would have done better. that film is a masterpiece.
Actually Jesse James received very good reviews, but it only opened in limited release (300 theaters for its entire release).
Brad does have good acting skills. It is all subjective but his talent is obvious in lots of his movies.
We thought ASSASSINATION was excellent. And if you haven’t checked out Dominik’s CHOPPER, starring Eric Bana, you are missing out.
