Hazel & Florange Trunk Show This Weekend

by Michelle Preau on July 11, 2014

Hazel & Florange is hosting a Southern Summer Trunk Show this Saturday. Fashion favorites including Hazel & Florange, Jess Leigh Jewels, Rorin, Mat Arthur, Renu Jewelry and Noel Martin will be on display.

“We’re all really looking forward to the broad range of pieces that will be available at the show,” says Hailee McCumsey, who recently styled Scene‘s photo shoot with actress Courtney Clark. “Hazel and Flo’s new maxis are a definite fav, as well as the gorgeous head pieces by Jess Leigh Jewels and Renu’s vintage one of a kind jewelry creations. And Mattingsworth’s men’s shorts are everything: perfect for swim or casual!”

In addition to the clothes on parade, Gaudet Bros will be offering complimentary meetings and blowouts. “AJ and Greg have recently joined the Gaudet Bros crew,” says McCumsey. “AJ has worked under Vidal Sassoon and brings her amazing technical skills as well as makeup artistry. Greg is a couture colorist, fresh to NOLA via New York and definitely brings something new to the table with his Balayage color technique. We’re excited to have them!”

To keep cool, Hazel & Florange will be offering snowballs and cocktails. “It just isn’t a New Orleans summer without endless snowballs! And we’ll have cocktails, too! We’ll be serving up bubbly and a delish Summer Punch courtesy of Jameson,” says McCumsey. “Fashion may not be for everyone, but who can say no to snowballs and whiskey?”

Not only will guests be able to shop around, but they can also give their taste buds a delicious treat. There will be free snowballs available from 12-2 and eats from Bao & Noodle. “Our new neighbor Bao & Noodle, which is opening this fall, will be offering a tasting of some of the dishes they’ll be serving on their new menu.”

All of this will be accompanied by music. “Todd Taylor will be our DJ taking us dancing into the night!,” says McCumsey.

Regardless of the weather, this sounds like a perfect day at Hazel & Florange at 2702 Chartres St. New Orleans. The event is this Saturday July 12 from noon to five. Visit the event on Facebook here for more information.
