by Alexandra Fraioli on July 25, 2012

The Toronto International Film Festival typically features a Canadian film at its opening night Gala.  However, the 37th Film Fest, which is set to occur mid-September, has announced that it will show an American film this year, Looper staring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis, at this year’s Gala, which will also be its world premiere.  The greatly anticipated film was shot in Napoleonville and New Orleans during the first months of 2011. Looper will be released in theaters September 28.
