LSU vs. Bama scores twenty million viewers

Saturday’s intense match-up between LSU and Alabama may not have racked up points, but it did rack up viewers. The game became CBS’ most watched regular season college football game in over twenty-two years averaging 20 million viewers.

Though Alabama and LSU are only hours from each other, the game drew in a national audience, with more viewers tuning in during the game’s tense final minutes to see LSU win in overtime with a field goal. This SEC showdown ended with a score of 9-6 as ratings peaked at 24.3 million viewers witnessing the Tigers’ victory.
