The highly anticipated 2014 New Orleans Saints schedule has been announced. The Saints will play in five primetime games this season with the first regular season game scheduled in the Georgia Dome against arch-rivals the Atlanta Falcons on September 7.

In terms of strength of schedule, the Saints have been ranked with the eighth weakest, based on the results of last year’s opponents. Last year they were given the third most difficult strength of schedule, as they had a very difficult time playing as well on the road as they did at home.

In hopes of improving their chance of making it to Super Bowl XLVIII this year, the Saints signed on several new players including free agent safety Jairus Bryd, cornerback Champ Bailey and right tackle Erik Lorig. But they also had to leave a few football vets behind, parting ways with Darren Sproles, Lance Moore, Jabari Greer, Will Smith, Roman Harper, Malcolm Jenkins, Jonathan Vilma and Charles Brown.

Here’s the full schedule.
