Marvel’s upcoming film Ant-Man has added Prisoners star David Dastmalchian. He will be joining Paul Rudd and the cast as a character that has not been specified yet. Dastmalchian had a great role in the recent thriller Prisoners starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal, playing the suspicious character Loki, whose walls were covered in mazes. He’s also memorable  for his role in The Dark Night as the Joker’s schizophrenic henchmen who attempted to assassinate the Mayor.

Dastmalchian won the Courage in Filmmaking Award for writing and starring in Animals at the 2014 SXSW Film Festival. While his Ant-Man character is still unrevealed, we wonder if Dastmalchian will play another mentally unstable character he’s played so well in past films.

Marvel’s Ant-Man, now directed by Peyton Reed, opens in theaters July 17, 2015.
