Quentin Tarantino’s ‘The Hateful Eight’ Poster Revealed, Along With Release Date

by Arthur Vandelay on July 30, 2014

Director Quentin Tarantino, a favorite around New Orleans and pretty much everywhere else, has released the poster for his upcoming film The Hateful Eight. The Kill Bill director spent almost a year in the Crescent City filming Django Unchained, a fictional, blood-soaked “western” set in the historical world of Southern slavery.

After a full copy of the script leaked online, Tarantino promised he would never make the movie, and pursued legal action against the website Gawker. However, the director did a high profile table read of the script back in April and told the audience that he was working on a new draft. Last Sunday at Comic Con, Tarantino revealed that the movie would be made after all, according to Deadline. Tarantino was at San Diego’s Comic Con to promote a Django Unchained-Zorro crossover comic that he is co-writing with Matt Wagner.

Now The Hateful Eight appears full steam ahead with a projected 2015 theatrical release. No word yet on where it will be filmed, but New Orleans would certainly love to see the Oscar-winning director return.
