Gordon-and-Joe-web

Season one of Halt and Catch Fire ended with Gordon’s dream turning into a nightmare, Joe searching for himself in the woods and Cameron and Donna teaming up to start Mutiny. This AMC series has created incredible traction of late and is set to premiere just two weeks after the infamous Mad Men closes its doors forever.

Halt is set in Texas in the 1980s during the second wave of personal computer innovation. Scoot McNairy, Lee Pace, Mackenzie Davis and Kerry Bishe star in the drama and James Cromwell will have a recurring role in the upcoming season.

In our exclusive Scene interview with Scoot McNairy, he said fans should expect to see Gordon more comfortable in his own skin. The facial hair department is up in the air but we should see his beard come and go as the season progresses.

Summit Entertainment announced Wednesday that the cast has been chosen for the Irish, Romanian, Amazon and Egyptian vampire covens as well as the American and European nomads in “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.”

The Irish Coven
A civilized but non-“vegetarian” young group of vampires that was formed by Siobhan and Liam. Maggie’s special talent for lie detection made her an important element of the coven.

Marlane Barnes as Maggie
Lisa Howard as Siobhan
Patrick Brennan as Liam

The Romanian Coven
One of the oldest covens in the world, the Romanians were once the ruling vampire family until they were overthrown by the Volturi. For that reason, they’ve held a centuries old grudge against the Italian coven.

Noel Fisher (“The Pacific”) as Vladimir
Guri Weinburg (“Munich”) as Stefan

The Amazon Coven
Senna and Zafrina are among the oldest vampires in the world and though they drink human blood, have been long time allies of Carlisle Cullen. Descendants of an ancient Amazonian tribe, they have lived outside of civilization for centuries, making no attempt to keep up the human facade.

Tracey Heggin as Senna
Judi Shenoki as Zafrina

The Egyptian Coven
Though not a biological family, Amun, Kebi, Benjamin and Tia could pass for one. Amun is very protective of his coven, but fears Aro, one of three leaders in the Volturi.

Omar Metwally (“Rendition”) as Amun
Andrea Gabriel (“Lost”) as Kebi
Rami Malek (“Night at the Museum”) as Benjamin
Angela Sarafyan as Tia

The Nomadic Vampires
Most, if not all nomadic vampires drink human blood, choosing to wander in a certain area because of their dietary choices. There are more nomadic vampires than those affiliated with a coven and most live in North America.

American Nomads
Garrett, a vampire turned during the Revolutionary War is one of Carlisle’s oldest and closest friends. He never lost the rebellious spirit of his human life and loves a good fight, always rooting for the underdog. Peter and Charlotte are mates, turned during aftermath of the Southern Vampire Wars in which Jasper was a key player. They’ve remained friends with him ever since.

Lee Pace (“Pushing Daisies”) as Garrett
Erik Odom as Peter
Valorie Curry (“Veronica Mars”) as Charlotte
Toni Trucks (“Music and Lyrics”) as Mary
Bill Tangradi as Randall

European Nomad
A nomadic vampire from England with a brooding personality and mistrust of authority, Alistair counts Carlisle as his closest acquaintance but only visits once a century.

Joe Anderson (“The Crazies”) as Alistair

“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” hits theaters in two parts: the first on November 18, 2011 and the second on November 16, 2012. Filming begins next month in Baton Rouge.
