While “The Last Exorcism” took #1 at the domestic box office over the weekend, “The Expendables” is in a run-off for #1 at the international box office with $18 million dollars in gross receipts. “The Expendables” estimated worldwide gross at $157 million, virtually assuring that Stallone’s desired sequel will be made. Given Nu Image/Millenium’s propensity for Louisiana, it’s likely a sequel will seriously consider shooting in Louisiana again. The production company currently has “Trespass” shooting in Shreveport, with “Drive Angry 3-D”, shot in Shreveport, and “The Mechanic”, shot in New Orleans, soon to be released.
