With the opening of The Hunger Games this weekend, Open Road released the first teaser trailer of Twilight author Stephenie Meyer’s The Host. The film stars Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, Jake Abel, Diane Kruger, William Hurt and Frances Fisher. Ronan plays Melanie Stryder, one of the last surviving humans fighting against the alien species called the Souls, who inhabit the human’s bodies as parasites and essentially erase them all together. The film is set for a March 29, 2013 release date.
