FINAL TRAILER and Soundtrack for Django Unchained Released

by Kayla Reed on November 29, 2012

As to be expected from director Quentin Tarantino, the latest trailer for Django Unchained promises plenty of bloodshed, just in time for its Christmas Day release. The movie stars Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio, along with Tarantino alums Samuel L. Jackson and Christoph Waltz. Filmed in New Orleans, Django takes us back to antebellum times as we follow a slave turned bounty hunter (Foxx) as he tries to rescue his wife (Kerry Washington) from a ruthless Mississippi plantation owner (DiCaprio).

In addition to the trailer, the track listing for Django’s soundtrack has been released. It’s definitely an interesting mix for a Western (that’s Rick Ross playing in the trailer), but remember this is Tarantino’s Western. This is also Tarantino’s first time using original music in a film, according to a recent press release. The soundtrack is available Dec. 18.
