TRAILER: ‘Hector and the Search for Happiness’

by Christine Samarchi on July 15, 2014

Hector, a quirky psychiatrist, has grown tired of his monotonous life. So he embarks on an adventure across the world hoping to find happiness. The film is based on a best-selling novel written by French psychiatrist François Lelord, now directed by Peter Chelsom, whose previous work includes Serendipity and The Mighty.

Hector is played by British actor and comedian Simon Pegg. Aspiring to inspire, this tale travels to China and Africa and tugs at your hopes. Alongside Pegg and Plummer are Rosamund Pike and Toni Collette who play the two love interests in Hector’s life. Lelord’s fascination with the human mind and Chelsom’s charming direction make this film a must see.

Hector and the Search for Happiness is slated for release September 19.
