After filming The Gates in Shreveport, Janina Gavankar comes back to Louisiana for her next project, joining the cast of HBO’s True Blood as a fourth season regular. She’ll be joined by two other recurring new comers, Alexandra Breckenridge (Life Unexpected) and Vedette Lim (As the World Turns).
Gavankar will play Luna, a sexy shapeshifter who is a public school teacher by day. Breckenridge plays Daisy, a member of a wiccan group founded by Marnie (played by new series regular Fiona Shaw), and Lim joins the cast as a fierce underground cage fighter.
True Blood has also promoted Jessica Tuck to a series regular, which comes as no surprise to fans due to her increased presence last season.
